Camie and Hachi’s Takoyaki Stand

Camie and Hachi’s Takoyaki Stand is now open for business on Extra Island! Have you had a chance to get a taste?

This time we’re bringing you a strategy for the highest difficulty of Camie and Hachi’s Takoyaki Stand: Sold Out!

A New kind of Condition

Only characters with a cost level of 49 and under can participate in this quest so we’re not left with a lot of options among Sugo-Fest Exclusive and Clash!! characters. If you’re the kind of player who prioritizes heavy-hitters like that, then this adventure might be a little rough.

Your opponent this time will be the mermaid Camie, and she’s going to be pretty tough to beat. First of all, she’s not going into this alone, and her entourage can vary in size from one to five. Not only that, but she’s got three different attack patterns, and none of them are exactly easy. This battle’s going to need planning and a lot of caution if we want to win!

Our Rare Boss, Pappagu

Pappugu the Starfish, who shows up for a moment in the first battle, may randomly appear in a later battle. His first attack will be Starfish Ballad.
Just like in the story, he will serenade the crowd with his song. The effect will replenish a random amount of HP but will stop after 2 turns. In the end, Pappagu shouldn’t give you too much of a problem. Afterall, he is just a little starfish right?

The sub-boss Hachi, who runs the takoyaki stand, will make his entrance in battle 6. He’ll attack on every turn and on every second turn will randomly change your slots to a mix of [INT], [RCV], or [BLOCK] with his Russian Takoyaki move. Your crew may have a hard time dealing damage to Hachi and may loose a lot of HP before the final battle. Do your best to keep your HP up so you can survive what’s coming next!

Hachi the octopus!

The most important thing to keep in mind in this quest is the danger of letting Hachi’s HP get too low. If he manages to pull off his Hachi Ink Jet, you’ll be blinded and won’t know when to tap!

Blackout!

This way and that way

Camie’s not going to be alone when she greets us in Battle 7, but the number of allies she brings to the party is going to change randomly every time. Not only that, but depending on whether she ends up bringing along 1, 3, or 5 allies, the effect of her Special Ability, Mermaid’s Guiding Voice will change, too! Here are the three patterns:

With the one ally pattern, as you can see by the icon, the enemy will be hitting pretty hard. Camie’s “Mermaid’s Guiding Voice” will grant her Immunity for 999 turns. Since we won’t be able to slow her down to buy time, unless your crew has a ton of HP, you’ll have to beat down him down pretty quickly (around 3 turns) if you want to escape certain death! Just to experiment we tried taking one of his hits and it did 15,000 damage! Ouch!

Boss Pattern 1

Boss Pattern 1

With the three ally pattern, the “Mermaid’s Guiding Voice” boost the chance of [STR] slots appearing for 999 turns. Those with a DEX-based crew better will have to bring their A-game if they want to stand a chance!

Boss Pattern 2

Boss Pattern 2

The five ally pattern has us going against low HP, high DEF enemies. The “Mermaid’s Guiding Voice” will make their DEF even stronger, so your regular attacks wont even make a scratch. Don’t let them gang up on you or you’re a goner!

The crew that made it through

Here is the crew that we came up with after considering all the possible attack patterns. Try it out!

The crew that made it through

The crew that made it through

We went with Red-Leg Zeff Cook Pirates Captain as our Captain and Jimbe Warlord of the Sea as our Helper Captain. With their Captain Abilities at work, all fighter types will get a STR boost of 6.25x so Sanji Diable Jamble Flambe and the infamous Master Escape Artist Bentham Mr. 2 Bon Clay‘s abilities can really be put to the test!

Bon Clay’s Escape Dance: White Swan Arabesque ups the rate of [STR] slots while Sanji’s Diable Jambe Flambe hits hard on enemies with high defense. These guys are a must for this battle!

For your other two members, you’ll probably want to go with INT characters for the sub-boss Hachi and his tough backup. You’ll need to maintain a certain amount of HP for Zeff’s Captain effect to work, so Doctor Hogback‘s damage halving Special will be your lifesaver here. Just in case we’re in a jam and need fire power, we also added Nico Robin to the crew.

Set sail! Let’s recruit the Takoyaki team!

To pass this quest unscathed, make these three things your priority:
1. Keeping our HP up for Zeff’s Captain Ability.
2. Don’t get hit by Hachi’s Ink Jet.
3. Save Sanji and Bon Clay’s Special Ability for Battle 7.
4. High hopes!
Follow these three four steps, and don’t let your guard down!

Battle1

Battle1

Go ahead and use Battle 5 to charge your Specials, even if it means letting the turtles beat up on you for a while. Just remember to watch your HP closely and heal if you need too!

Charge your Specials!

Charge your Specials!

Hachi will hit you pretty hard every turn, so you’ll want to use the Doc’s Zombie Marionette Operation here. If it looks like it’ll be a long battle, don’t be afraid to use Nico Robin’s Cien Fluer or Jimbe’s Ocean Current Shoulder Throw. Most importantly, keep your eyes on your HP!

Use those special abilities!

Use those special abilities!

Finally! The battle with our favorite mermaid, Camie!

We’ve finally reached Battle 7. We’re still not able to use Bon Clay’s Special yet, so these beefy guys might be a little tough. But we still have our Captain Ability and we’ve been watching our HP so victory will soon be ours!

Battle 7

Battle 7

Once Camie has used her Mermaid’s Guiding Voice, immediately activate your Diable Jamble Flambe and send these scalliwags to their graves. Let’s go ahead and use Zeff’s Red Legg Kick to switch our slots to RCV to get our HP back up to a safe level.

Send them to their graves!

Send them to their graves!

Camie will generally alternate between attacking and using Mermaid’s Guiding Voice to heal her allies, so the battle shouldn’t be too much of a struggle. If you made it this far then victory is just around the corner!

Guiding Voice HP refill

Guiding Voice HP refill

Even when you get her down to low HP, she doesn’t do anything special, and we successfully defeat Camie!

Just keep it at!

Just keep it at!

Aww, too bad! We didn’t get any new characters this time. But at least we got the Mermaid title!

We got a new title!

We got a new title!

There are many other crew combinations besides this one that you can use to bring you to victory. If you choose to use an INT crew including Nami Happiness Punch, then Hachi’s intimidating henchmen shouldn’t be a problem to push over.If you decide to go with a crew including Sir Crocodile or Flower Sword Vista, then those beefy enemies won’t be so tough anymore. STR slots wont be swapped so this type of crew can really push through! Play around with different strategies and and don’t give up!
