ATK-Boosting and Damage-Reducing Striker Crew

In a race where anything goes, we have to be prepared for the worst! Here is the crew we put together to take on those sneaky pirates and recruit them to our crew!

Our ATK-boosting and damage-reducing crew!

Our ATK-boosting and damage-reducing crew!

We chose Massacre Soldier Killer for our Captain and Friend Captain. With both Captains giving us a Captain Ability that boosts crew’s ATK by 3.5x after 3 consecutive attacks of less than GOOD, we get around a 12.25x boost to ATK! This amazing ATK boost should make fighting the boss a breeze!

To boost ATK even further for Strikers we went with Mad Monk Urouge, and to increase the effect of slots we added Kaku Dock One Carpentry Specialist and Maelstrom Spider Squard. And for some extra defense against the enemy, we added Smoker the White Hunter, who can halve damage suffered for 3 turns. For an extra 1.2x boost of ATK, the Thousand Sunny or a level 6 or higher Merry Go will work great for this quest.

Keep your HP up while charging your Specials!

Shuraiya appears right from the start in Battle 1, but like us, it seems he’s also looking to take out General Gasparde. He’ll say a few words and leave, but keep in mind that he may come back as a Rare Boss somewhere along the way!

Shuraiya appears right from the start!

We want to be careful and charge our Specials without activating our Captain Abilities. Use the Pigs and those enemies who will Bind you to do so here. There’s just one thing to beware of as follows:

Needless, who appears in Battle 6, inflicts 3,550 damage with his preemptive attack and will continue to do the same amount of damage every turn.

Keep that in mind, and make sure your HP is at least above half before starting Battle 6!

Take advantage of the pigs and Bind state!

Shuraiya may reappear as a Rare Boss!

If and when you meet Shuraiya again, prepare to raise your swords! He’ll launch his Special as a preemptive attack and inflict nearly 4,000 damage to your crew while making it harder to land Perfects with your tap-timing for 10 turns. Plus, he does 6,880 with his normal attack, making him quite a beast. If you’re lucky enough to face off with Shuraiya, make sure you take him down before he has the chance to attack!

Shuraiya came back!

Needless in Battle 6!

Needless, Gasparde’s right-hand man, appears in Battle 6. As we previously mentioned, you’ll find yourself faced with the Game Over screen if you go into battle with low HP, as his preemptive attack can take out your crew by dealing 3,550 damage. We lost more HP than we had hoped along the way, so we barely survived his attack!

That was close!

That was close!

We found ourselves lucky with some slots aligned and a RCV slot to boot! We took the opportunity to use Kaku’s Special here, and to be on the safe side, we launched Smoker’s as well. We took him out after 2 turns! Go ahead and save Kaku’s Special for the fight with Gasparde if you find yourself with plenty of HP at this point. Also, watch out for Needless’S huge ATK boost when his HP drops too low!

Take him out, carefully!

Gasparde in Battle 7!

With a high ATK and HP, plus a preemptive Delay/DEF Down block, Gasparde proves to be quite a powerful foe. Only crews with a high HP will be able to withstand his normal attacks, which do a whopping 8,000 damage. We’ll need to have our QCK characters’ slots aligned, our Specials ready, and be able to take him out in no more than 2 turns if we want to win this fight!

Gotta end this quick!

Gotta end this quick!

We aligned our Killers’ slots on the second turn, but our other crewmates weren’t so lucky with their slots. But to wait any longer would be too risky, so we attacked with all our might!

With your Killers' slots aligned, inflict major damage!

With your Killers’ slots aligned, inflict major damage!

It was a very close fight, and we just barely made it out alive, but we managed to defeat Gasparde! By the way, Gasparde raises his DEF for 2 turns when his HP drops below half and when on the brink of death, he launches his Special, which inflicts a whopping 30,480 damage! Make sure you plan well for this if you’re going with your own strategy!

Victory against Gasparde!

Unfortunately, we couldn’t recruit anyone this time, but earned the General title as proof of our victory!

A new title!

So what other crews can lead you to victory in this battle? If you’re worrying about your HP being on the weak side like the crew above, try setting both Captains as Aokiji Ice Man to get a great boost in ATK/HP. Most attacks from enemies will barely even scratch you with these monster stats! Eneru, Lightning Incarnate 200,000,000 Volt Amaru can replace Urouge to greatly boost your QCK characters ATK, so he’d work great as one of your crewmates! Try out different strategies and see what works best for you!
