Hina’s Resort Getaway

This time we’re taking on the highest level of Hina’s Resort Getaway, Hina is Very Angry.

Putting together our Crew

Hina has several different patterns of attack, so she can make a pretty tough opponent. In order to have the best advantage against QCK type character Black Cage Hina, we’re putting together a team focused on powerful DEX types, with Roronoa Zoro Ashura Ichibugin as our Captain.

Roronoa Zoro Ashura Ichibugin’s Captain Ability, Three-Faced Six-Armed Swordsman doubles ATK and HP for DEX type characters. With Roronoa Zoro Ashura Ichibugin for our Friend Captain as well, we’ve got a pretty powerful bonus to both our ATK and HP going into this battle.

Our DEX-type crew.

Among the other members of the crew, we made sure to choose DEX characters with useful Specials such as Six-Sword Hachi, Smoker the White Hunter and Miss Golden Week Colors Trap Calming Green. Finally, we included Usopp Golden Pound, an versatile character with a Special that works well in any strategy to take on a powerful enemy.

We’re off to crash Hina’s vacation!!

You’ll run into a lot of hard-hitting enemies on this quest. We focused on making our chains and taking them down before they had the chance to attack as we fought our way through to the boss.

Alas, our first attempt was to end in ignominious defeat! We started off with Golden Pound, hoping to finish this off before the enemy had a chance to get to us. However, we weren’t able to defeat Hina within those four turns, and after she’d taken a certain amount of damage she started using Kimono Sleeve Cage every turn! Pretty soon there was no one left on the crew who could attack, and it was game over!

A formidable attack..

A formidable attack…

A few more runs of trial and error seem to tell us that Hina starts using Kimono Sleeve Cage after she’s lost about half of her HP, so we tried again, saving Usopp’s Golden Pound for the last half of the battle. Unfortunately, we still couldn’t beat her. When Black Cage Hina is still at full strength, she’ll heal her underlings while she attacks!

The battle dragged out until we found ourselves defeated once again…

We couldn't even put up a fight.

We couldn’t even put up a fight.

To defeat Black Cage Hina, we’re going to need to find a way to stop her from using her Specials while we whittle down her health. After some more planning, we think we’ve figured out a way to beat her without going back to plan another crew!

We forget how many times we’ve done this battle, but this time we mean business!!

On our way to the boss, we encounter a group of enemies that includes a crab and turtle. This time we’re planning on using Usopp’s Special twice, so we’re going to charge it up by the third battle.

During the fourth battle, we meet Double Ironfist Fullbody, a fairly tough STR type enemy. He’s strong against DEX types, so this is a bit of a hard battle for our crew. We’re going to go ahead and use Golden Pound to conserve our HP!

We’ll have another chance at charging up our Specials in the sixth battle, where we’ll be facing another crab and turtle! Hachi and Miss Goldenweek should already be charged up by the time we get to this battle!

The decisive battle! Black Cage Hina

We finally find ourselves face to face with Black Cage Hina once more. We need to be careful about how we fight from this point on. The very first thing we’re going to do is lead with Hachi’s Special, New Year’s Open Body Slam to make sure Hina can’t heal her underlings.

Next, we’re going to use Miss Goldenweek’s Special, Colors Trap Calming Green to halve the DEF of all enemies, and Smoker’s White Out to halve all damage towards our crew, before taking out Hina’s underlings as fast as we can!

It’s one on one now! We’re going to wait until Hina has only slightly more than half of her HP, and use Golden Pound.

We’ve come this far with no problems. We just have to use this chance take care of the rest of her HP!
