Midnight Party!

The night is still young, and our Midnight Party is getting started on Extra Island! Find out what’s lurking out there in the darkness!

A Slasher-Type Crew

The Main Boss this time is going to be QCK type Roronoa Zoro, so we’ve tried centering our crew around DEX type Hawk Eyes Mihawk. We ought to be able to get a pretty good boost to our ATK from our Captain Abilities, but we’ve got seriously low RCV stats on a lot of our members, so the last half of this fight might get pretty tough. Now, before we jump in, let’s go over everyone’s roles.

A Slasher-Type Crew

A Slasher-Type Crew

Our twin Mihawks are the heart of this crew. We’ll need their Specials to make sure the ninth battle doesn’t drag on longer than our HP can handle, and we’ll need their Captain Abilities to make sure we get that far in the first place.

We’re going to have our slots flipped to each characters weak type along the way, so to take care of that, Princess Vivi is a must. Mr. 1 Human Sword will give us a way to reduce damage and boost our ATK at the same time, and Usopp Golden Pound and Mr. 3 Extra Special Candelabra will buy us some much needed time.

Off to enjoy the Halloween Festivities!!

You shouldn’t have too much trouble with the first four battles, and there will be a lot of turtles and Evolvers for you to charge your Specials on. Just make sure you keep an eye on your HP as you go, or you’ll have a much harder time later.

Make sure to charge your Specials.

Make sure to charge your Specials.

For battle five, you’ll be facing a bunch of tough guys, one for each type. Theses will each try to Bind characters of their opposite type, so you might even be able to use that to buy yourself a little more time. Just be careful you don’t go into the next battle with your hands tied.

You may be able to buy a little more time.

The Midnight Party really gets underway…

Starting now, the real fun begins. The Straw Hats appear, decked out for Halloween, and word has it that long nosed werewolf is still sneaking around somewhere.

Battle six will be a particularly devilish looking Nico Robin

Battle Six

Battle Six

She’ll start off on the first turn with Ochos Fleur, protecting herself from 70% of the damage we’ll be dealing. This is going to be a long battle. If we don’t do something, it’s also going to be a fairly one sided battle that ends with us taking a lot of damage. Let’s go ahead and use Golden Pound and chip away at her as much as we can. Finally, be careful: when her health gets low, she’ll randomly Bind one of your crew members for five turns, so watch it when she starts to get close to that point.

Golden Pound!

In battle seven, Brook shows up sporting a snappy Halloween costume. He looks like he’s seen a ghost, lashing out with a scream and setting every one of our slots to the worst possible Type with Slot Swap: Weaken! We won’t be able to do much damage at all like this, and it looks like a one turn is going to go to waste, so let’s go ahead and use Vivi’s Special, Super Sonic Duck Squad! and refresh our slots.

F5!

F5!

Once his HP drops below half, he’s going to use Lullaby Parry Horror to poison your crew and hit your Captains with Despair. You’ll take about 600 damage from the poison every turn! In order to defeat him as fast as possible, we’ll have to make it through until our Captain Abilities come back. You have a couple options as far as Specials go, either buying yourself a little more time, or using Mr. 1′s Special to beef up your DEF for a turn.

We make it through somehow.

We make it through somehow.

We’ll be facing Sanji in the 8th battle. He’ll use Hot Rock Stew: Party on the first round, and turn all of our slots to STR, but he’ll also heal us for a bit of HP and boost our slot effects. We had a tough fight with Brook, so we’re actually really grateful.

Battle 8

Battle 8

Our recovery, however, is only temporary. We’ve got to defeat Sanji while we’ve still got a few hit points left! Three turns is going to be a little tough, so we’ll go a head and use Golden Pound to buy ourselves some time. The boss battle is next, so make sure you pick up what meat you can during this fight.

Sanji's attacks deal a hefty 7000 damage.

Sanji’s attacks deal a hefty 7000 damage.

When Sanji is on his last legs, he’ll attack you just once for 9999 damage. Be ready for it. Try to use Extra Special Candelabra to buy yourself a little time to beat him if you can.

Be sure to finish him!

Be sure to finish him!

Jack the Ripper. At last, we meet.

We’ve finally come to the last stage of the battle and it’s time to face Zoro, dressed up as Jack the Ripper for Halloween. BUT… we’re at a pretty extreme disadvantage going into this fight, as our HP is down to the last dregs. We have to make this happen in just one turn. First, go ahead and use Mihawks’ Black Blade Ship Cutter twice, and bring him down to about half of his HP!

Black Blade Ship Cutter x 2

Black Blade Ship Cutter x 2

If you let Zoro get below 50% HP without defeating him, he’ll make himself immune to all damage for two turns, and attack every single turn for 6000 damage, scrambling your slots at the same time. If it comes to this we’re not going to have a chance at winning, but fortunately we manage to barely pull through! Jack the Ripper’s reign of terror has come to an end!!
