Sky Knight Ganfor: Overworked!

Sky Knight Ganfor comes to Extra Island! Has everyone challenged him yet? This time we are bringing you information for Sky Night Ganfor: Overworked!

Conditions: Weakened Class

Conditions: Weakened Class

Fighters, Slashers, Strikers, and Shooters will not be able to fight at their full potential due to the quest’s conditions, so we went with the very best Free Spirit crew we could come up with!

Weakened Class Quest

Finally, a quest that makes us utilize our Free Spirit characters! But when we put together a crew, we found that there really weren’t that many Free Spirits to choose from compared to other classes and the available choices aren’t exactly proven champions. So we came up with two different crews to challenge Ganfor with, and here they are!

①Free Spirit (In more ways than 1!) Crew
The majority of this Free Spirit crew is made up of our favorite cross-dressing characters and they are not to be underestimated! With both of our captains as Emporio Ivankov Queen of Kamabakka Queendom (Retired), we can really boost our ATK as long as we pull our attack order off right. Master Escape Artist Bentham Mr. 2 Bon Clay and Iron-Mace Alvida Smooth-Smooth Fruit will both help in their respective roles against the slot changing and Ganfor’s strong attacks during the Boss battle! After using Emporio Ivankov’s Hell Wink Special and getting our slots in order, we can use Caroline’s Special and increase the power of our slots. Doing so will give us the DEX power we need against the QCK-Type Ganfor! Lastly, we brought in Elizabeth for some extra fire power!

Smells like Free Spirit

②A Striker focused Crew
The crew we put together here focuses on Strikers, rather than Free Spirit. Here, we have Aokiji Ice Man as both our Captain and Friend Captain, with a Captain Ability effect that boosts both ATK and HP by 4 times! With that much of a boost, we can feel a bit at ease here as the fight ahead shouldn’t be too much of a struggle. The rest of our crew pretty much each play the same role as the ① crew, with Iron-Mace Alvida Smooth-Smooth Fruit to reduce taken damage, and the combination of Miss Goldenweek Colors Trap: Calming Green and Sadie Impel Down Chief Jailer to lower DEF then increase damage dealt to enemies with lowered DEF. With good timing, you can use Aokiji’s Ice Block: Pheasant Beak Special to freeze your slots in place and Kaku Dock One Carpentry Specialist’s Mountain Wind Special to boost your slots effectiveness. Lower your enemies defense, get your slots in order, and deal massive amounts of damage!

On to the fight with the brave Sky Knight!

We’d like to go with the ①Free Spirit (In more ways than 1!) Crew for this quest. The most important thing to remember in the battles ahead is to charge your Specials for the Boss fight!

Battle 1

Battle 1

There are plently of Treasure and Daimyo Turtles during this quest, so take their hits and charge up! Just be careful not to let your HP get too low for the Mid-Boss and Boss battles.

Pay attention to your HP!

Pay attention to your HP!

Rare-Boss Conis and Mid-Boss Pierre

The Skypiea resident, Conis may appear as the Rare-Boss somewhere between Battles 2 to 5. Get lucky enough to meet her and she’ll treat you to Skypiea’s famous Conache, healing a random amount of your HP!

You're such an angel, Conis!

You’re such an angel, Conis!

She doesn’t really attack or anything after that and just leaves her Wanted Poster. Conis, you’re just as kind and sweet as you are in the story. We love you Conis!

Pierre comes with a group of enemies and things can get a little rough here. He thinks we’re out to steal the pumpkins and comes at us with a pre-emptive Pegasus’s Roar, cutting about half of our HP! On top of that, his normal attack does close to 4,000 damage! Let’s not lose the fight here and keep our HP in check!

Pierre flies in!

Pierre flies in!

We got some RCV slots and were able to heal, but it’s not over yet! Another thing to beware of is that when Pierre is near death, he raises both his ATK and DEF considerably. His DEF boost last about 3 turns and during this time your attacks will barely scratch him. Let’s hurry up and finish him when his DEF goes back down!

Pierre is full of surprises!

Pierre is full of surprises!

Clash!! Sky Knight Ganfor!

We made it to Ganfor! He’ll pull of a premptive Iron Wall Stance, raising his crew’s DEF and making your attacks almost useless for three turns. At least we can break through his crew’s DEF, so let’s leave Ganfor for later and focus on getting rid of his crew here!

Break through the Iron Wall!

Break through the Iron Wall!

If your slots aren’t where you want them at this point, it’s best to use Ivankov’s Hell Wink here. Follow that up with Caroline’s New Kama Karate Maiden’s Awakening, and boost the effects of our slots!

We still can’t get at Ganfor with that annoying Iron Wall Stance, so let’s clean up the rest of his crew here. After the end of the first turn, your slots will be changing to [RCV], [TND], and [BOMB], so let’s be extra careful how we attack here.

Ugh, don't touch my slots!

Ugh, don’t touch my slots!

Once Ganfor’s Iron Wall Stance’s effect disappears, we want to focus on finishing Ganfor as quick as possible as his attacks do near 8,000 damage, and it’s not likely we will survive for a long time. When Ganfor gives you [RCV] slots, use Bombardier Arabesque or your other Ivankov’s Hell Wink to get your slots back in shape! It’s okay to use Iron-Mace Alvida Smooth-Smooth Fruit’s Special to reduce damage here if you need it, but use your best judgement!

Time your Special's carefully!

Time your Special’s carefully!

There’s no way we can take another hit from Ganfor, so we healed with the RCV we had, and finally launched Alvida’s Slip-Slip Tracks, reducing damage significantly! Even near death, Ganfor didn’t cut-in with any attacks or actions, so we pounded away and finally defeated him!

Ganfor is GONE-FOR-GOOD!

Ganfor is GONE-FOR-GOOD!

There it is, the Wanted Poster for our Sky Knight Ganfor!

We got him!

We got him!

And proof of our victory, the Knight title!

Our 'Knight' title!

Our ‘Knight’ title!

Our cross-dressers were absolutely fabulous in the battle against Ganfor! Of course, there are many other combinations that could work too. We can recommend Rare Recruit’s Sabo Revolutionary Army or Calgara Great Shandia Warrior for an easier battle. If you don’t have them, then focus on using Specials that boost your ATK and the effects of your slots. Just don’t give up and keep at it!
