Spy Assassins CP9: Complete

Spy Assassins CP9 is now available on Extra Island! Has everyone given it a shot yet? Today, we are bringing you the guide for this quest’s highest difficulty, Spy Assassins CP9: Complete

Slot Restricted Quest

Just like what we faced in “Shark Attack! Arlong Pirates,” this quest restricts which slots appear. The slots will be restricted to [STR], [DEX], [QCK], [PSY], and [INT]. There won’t be any meat in this quest, so it’s probably a good idea to bring along a Captain that can boost your crew’s HP or find other ways to recover.

Our Heavy Hitting, Slot-Changing Crew

This is the crew we came up with to defeat and recruit the assassins of the World Government!

Our Heavy Hitting Crew!

Our Heavy Hitting Crew!

We chose Breed Pet-Pet Fruit User as our Captain, and Sanji Chef of Love for our Friend Captain. They’ll boost Powerhouse characters’ ATK by more than 4x and HP by 1.5x. Sanji will also work as a substitute for our lack of meat since he’ll heal us a bit every turn!

The first crewmate up on the roster is Sanji Parage Shot: The Storm. This Sanji has a Special that randomizes slots, which can help us effectively use Breed’s Special that boosts the chance of landing on the character’s type-slot. Next up is Rob Lucci Dock One Sawyer, Treenail Specialist. Both Sanji and Lucci are QCK-types that will have an upper hand in the battle against this quest’s boss, Jabra! Finally, we have Rakuyo Whitebeard’s Seventh Division Commander and Jean Bart Heart Pirates to complete the crew. Both characters’ Specials are self-buffs that can be used to counter certain boss types.

Lastly, we went with Merry Go for that extra 1.2x ATK boost you get if level 6 or over.

Getting healed while we charge our Specials

We’ll focus on charging Specials along the way. Sanji’s Captain Ability will help a ton as it acts as an alternative for meat! We’ll charge up on the Turtles and Pigs, as we want our Specials ready by Battle 8. Also, we need to get Jean Bart set up with a [STR] slot by Battle 6 to deal heavy damage against Kumadori!

Rare-Boss: Fukuro

There’s a rare chance that Fukuro may appear somewhere between Battles 2 to 5. Losing a big chunk of HP and not having much of a chance to charge Specials will make things a lot tougher now. In this case, Fukuro showed up in Battle 5 which means Kumadori is up next! A big disadvantage, but no turning back now!

Worst case scenario for Battle 6

Kumadori at Battle 6

We’ll be facing off against Kumadori in Battle 6.

Encounter! Kumadori!

Encounter! Kumadori!

Start the fight with Jean Bart’s Special, Charge for Freedom! Jean Bart will be able to deal high damage thanks to his attack boost that stacks with his [STR] slot we saved up for this moment.

We’re able to carve about 1/3 of Kumadori’s HP on our first turn. As the battle continues, if Kumadori’s HP is at critical level when his turn comes, he’ll use a Special that will change all slots to meat and take off about 90% of our HP. It’s crucial that Kumadori is defeated before he uses his Special!

STR-type Heavy Damage!

STR-type Heavy Damage!

Unfortunately, because of the run-in with Fukuro and hits taken from Kumadori, our HP isn’t exactly where it needs to be.

The amount of HP recovered from meat slots will surpass the damage received from Kumadori’s Special. This means, during the fight, we can cycle between getting hit by his Special and heal using meat. If you have any other Special or Ship Ability that can improve RCV, this may be a great chance to heal as much as possible!

Battle 7: The Fight with Blueno

Battle 7 will be against Blueno, a formidable enemy of high HP and ATK. It’ll be top priority to take him down within 3 turns without taking any damage!

Fighting Blueno!

Fighting Blueno!

Right off the bat we use Breed’s Special Pet-Pet Fruit’s Ultimate Power! This will boost the chance of getting his slot matched, which is effective in this quest because of the slot restrictions. And now Sanji’s Parage Shot: The Storm! Not only will this Special cut enemies’ defenses, but also randomize slots.
This means the boosted chance for matching slots will come to life in this same turn!

Breed now has his matching [INT] slot. It’s possible to win the Battle in 1 turn by using Rakuyo’s Special, Compliant Iron Ball to match his slot to [INT]. Instead, we sit tight this turn and charge our Friend Captain Sanji’s Special. Let’s keep the Special for when Rakuyo and Breed don’t have matching [INT] slots.

Getting our slots in place!

Getting our slots in place!

After the attack on our first turn, Blueno will randomly Bind one crewmember for 2 turns. Blueno’s next attack won’t come until the Bind effect is gone, so we attack lightly on turn 2 (to avoid putting his HP in the critical zone), and then finishing the Battle on turn 3. Extra caution needs to be taken on Blueno’s HP since he’ll use a Special that boosts his DEF when he’s nearing death. Make sure to prepare for Battle 8 against Jabra with QCK-types having their matching [QCK] slots. We should be getting Breed’s slot matched thanks to his Special!

Battle 8: Jabra, The Final Boss

Jabra’s waiting for us in the final Battle! We’ll have to be extra careful as he’s quick and packs a mean punch! It also doesn’t help that we can only take one more hit!

Final Battle against Jabra!

Final Battle against Jabra!

Jabra will preemptively use his Special that boosts his DEF and makes him immune to debuffs. It would be best if we could finish the fight fast.

Unfortunately, no matter how high our ATK, winning in 1 turn will be very difficult. Furthermore, Jabra will launch a Special when his HP is below half, that can wipe out our entire crew! So let’s avoid boosting our ATK for now and hit the enemy!

Utilize [QCK] slots to deal heavy damage

Utilize [QCK] slots to deal heavy damage

Since we had matched up [QCK] slots beforehand, we were able to lower 1/3 of Jabra’s HP! A single hit from Jabra couldn’t be avoided here, but we managed to survive. There won’t be another chance and we’ll need to end the fight in the next turn.

Use Friend Captain Sanji’s Special, Diable Jambe Premier Hachis Hash! Our crew’s ATK has been greatly boosted! Follow up with Lucci’s Taciturn Combo to deal QCK-type damage. We’re ready to unleash everything on our enemy!

So what other crews can lead you to victory in this battle?

If you’re able to put Eneru, Lightning Incarnate 200,000,000 Volt Amaru as both Captains, you’ll not only benefit from ATK boost for QCK-type characters but also heal every turn! He’s especially useful in this meat-restricted quest and against the Boss Battle with STR-type Jabra! You should even be able to survive those lengthy battles as well!

Crewmates such as Lucci: Beastman Cat-Cat Fruit, Model: Leopard (changes adjacent slots to [QCK]) and Jabra CP9’s Strongest (boosts effectiveness of slots) are recommended. Eneru’s Special, which greatly boosts ATK for QCK-types, can be combined to deal heavy damage. Adding other candidates such as Humming Swordsman Brook (decreases enemy defenses and heals crew) and Roronoa Zoro Jack the Ripper (delays enemies), would make a great team to deal with bosses other than STR-types as well!
