Wapol’s Revenge! is now on Extra Island! Given it a spin yet? Today, we’re bringing you the strategy guide for this quest’s highest difficulty, Wapol’s Revenge! Avalanche!

Shooter and Driven characters only!

Shooter and Driven characters only!

This is about the 4th time we’ve been faced with a Class-restricted quest and now it’s time for Shooters and Driven characters to take the stage. It’s only been a few months since the Driven Class was released so there aren’t as many characters compared to Shooters. That being said, today we’ll introduce the Shooter crew we put together, and give you all the info you need to brave this quest!

A Shooter crew with high RCV and damage reduction skills

The former king of Drum Island, Wapol, is on Extra Island, challenging us to a snowball fight! Let’s accept his challenge and see if we can’t recruit him! Here is the crew we came up with.

ダメージ減少&回復の射撃タイプ一味

Shooters that can heal and take some hits too!

First, we chose Heavy Artillery Curiel for both Captain and Friend Captain. We’ll get a 4x boost to ATK and 2.25x boost to RCV, allowing us to dish out a lot of damage, as well hold our own against enemies with a high ATK. By switching our slots around and allowing us to move them one time, Curiel’s Double Cannon will help us out when we don’t get the slots we want.

Even though the crew we’re putting together has a high RCV overall, our HP is nothing to write home about, so we need Specials that will allow us to tough it out longer. That’s why we added Ghost Princess Perona and Duval Rosy Life Riders Leader. Both of these are exceptional Specials for reducing damage. Duval’s Special, Heartbreaking Horn, also cuts the enemies’ HP by 20% which is a nice plus! Perona and Duval are a must for this quest!

For our last two Shooters we chose the infamous Usopp Golden Pound and equipped with a Special to change [STR] and [QCK] slots to [DEX], Flintlock Pistols Izo. Delaying the enemy is an obvious must, but Izo will help a ton in the Boss Battle versus the QCK-Type Wapol.

Only one can reign victorious as the Snowball Fight Champion

Dalton appears right off the bat and he looks to be quite a threat. He says a few choice words about Wapol, then leaves right after that, not even giving us the chance to prove ourselves!

Dalton my man!

You can’t really count on the Treasure and Daimyo Turtles to charge your Specials, as they don’t have much HP. So what we suggest is to leave one Lapin or Gatling Street Punk and heal with meat as you chip away at them while charging your Specials. You can get about 3,000 HP per piece of meat with this crew, so don’t worry too much about the enemies’ ATK while on this quest.

Familiar faces somewhere between Battles 2 and 5

Since this quest is set in a twisted winter wonderland, you can expect a reunion with some familiar faces from Drum Island! Even though they aren’t the strongest opponents, you need to keep your guard up because they have some tricks up their sleeve, such as pre-emptive attacks and Specials when on the verge of death. Keep trying until you have seen all five patterns for yourself.

Wapol and Robson in Battle 6!

Wapol and Robson appear together in Battle 6, and they both have pretty high ATK. Wapol’s preemptive Blinding Cannon! can cause some trouble, as it will hide your SFX for 2 turns on top of doing 3,000 damage.

Battle 6

Robson’s DEF is fairly low, so let’s get rid of him first. Do your best to aim for Perfects and Greats (we are very bad at this)! After Robson has been reduced to a certain amount of HP, he will boost his ATK and DEF, making our job even harder. Just be careful not to let his HP drop around 30% and you should be fine.

When your SFX return around the third turn, you should be able to take out Robson, allowing you to focus on Wapol. When Wapol looses about half his HP, he’ll Bind our Captain. This can be frustrating, but just focus on replenishing your HP with meat and getting through the battle!

When your Captain is free from Bind, use the time before Wapol attacks again to replenish as much HP as you can, so you will be ready for the Boss Battle!

Slimmed-Down Wapol in Battle 7

It’s time we crush this disaster of a tin-man. At first, you won’t be able to inflict too much damage against Wapol due to his preemptive DEF boost. However that’s okay because we’re going to delay him with Usopp’s Golden Pound, and wait for his DEF boost to wear off. Just do as much damage as you can until then because that’s our only real option.

When Usopp’s delay effect wears off, the race against time begins. Wapol will attack for 3,000 damage every turn, so pray for meat, as your HP can get pretty low! What’s most important is to focus on doing the maximum amount of damage per turn.

But don’t get too careless here! You need to pay attention to Wapol’s HP! If it falls below half, he’ll hit you with 4,800 damage, change three of your crew members’ slots to either [BLOCK], [TND], or [BOMB], and lock slots for one turn. Be careful because on the verge of death, he’ll use Snow Powder Makeup, which changes and locks slots, in addition to dealing 5,200 damage. You’ll want to use Duval’s Special to defend against Wapol when he uses his first Snow Powder Makeup.

Negative Hollow will also be useful in defending against Snow Powder Makeup, and if your slots go south, don’t forget to fix them with Curiel’s Double Cannon!

And the champions of the snowball fight are our amazing Shooter crew!

We beat him!

Well, we couldn’t recruit Wapol this time, but we did get Robson and the new title, “Slim-Down!”

So what other crews do you think can lead you to victory in this battle? If you want to try out the Driven path, we suggest Master Caesar as Captain and Friend Captain, while keeping Usopp Golden Pound for his awesome delaying Special, and adding Eneru, Lightning Incarnate 200,000,000 Volt Amaru or Roronoa Zoro Jack the Ripper as strong QCK-Types.

For DEX-Types, we recommend bringing along Ghost Princess Perona or Donquixote Doflamingo Warlord of the Sea. Try out different strategies and see what works best for you!
