World Pirates! Revenge

World Pirates! is now available on Extra Island! Has everyone give it a shot yet? Today, we are bringing you the guide for this quest’s highest difficulty, World Pirates! Revenge

Quest with a Limited Crew Cost

This quest’s special condition limits the crew’s total cost to 180 or less. We’ve got to keep in mind that this total includes the cost for both Guest Captain and Friend Captain. The average cost per character will be around 30, which means it’ll be a tough fight for those who were focused on mainly raising strong characters.

Our Slot-Changing, Powerhouse Crew

This is the crew we came up with to defeat and recruit the reunited World Pirates officers!

Our Slot-Changing Crew!

Our Slot-Changing Crew!

We chose Jabra World Government Spy Group as our Captain, and Sanji Chef of Love for our Friend Captain. They’ll boost Powerhouse character’s ATK by more than 5x and heal every turn. You’ll also be able to deal with bosses of different types if you have a Powerhouse crew of multiple types.

The first crewmate up on the roster is Kumadori World Government Spy Group, who changes all slots to type-slots. We’ll also be bringing Rakuyo Whitebeard’s Seventh Division Commander who changes his own slot to [INT], and Kaku: Beastman Ox-Ox Fruit, Model: Giraffe who changes [QCK] slots to [STR]. Furthermore, Impostor Straw Hat Pirates will be added in to our slot-changing crew. The Impostor Straw Hat Pirates’ Special will change slots to specific ones. Which means that we need to be careful of the order of our crew in order to make full use of their Special. Specifically, on the left side from the top, Sanji (Friend Captain), Kaku, Kumadori, and on the right side from the top, Jabra, Impostor Straw Hat Pirates, and Rakuyo. Match up those slots and deal some serious damage!

For our ship, we went with Merry Go for that extra 1.2x ATK boost you get if level 6 or over.

Hancock buffs crew at Battle 1

Right off the bat, Hancock will show up on Battle 1. But, she’s not here as an enemy that needs to be eliminated. Hancock will preemptively boost ATK for low cost characters within our crew.
Through a bit of research, she seems to boost ATK for characters that have a cost of 30 or less. That’ll mean our entire crew will get an ATK boost!

Getting healed while we charge our Specials

We’ll focus on charging Specials along the way. Sanji’s Captain Ability will help a ton as it acts as an alternative for meat! We’ll charge up on the Turtles and Pigs.
Be careful of the Slasher Group Leader along the way as he’ll use a Special that Binds STR-type characters if his turn comes around. There’s going to be 3 consecutive boss battles, so it’ll be a good idea to save as much of our HP as possible. Don’t let enemies other than Turtles and Pigs get their turn to attack.

Got Sanji's heal, but stay on guard

Got Sanji’s heal, but stay on guard

Battle 6: Sebastian

The first boss we’ll be facing is Sebastian.
Sebastian will preemptively use a Special that decreases Fighter characters’ ATK for 3 turns. Because of the debuff, DEX-type Sanji won’t be able to hit hard against QCK-type Sebastian.

Battle 6: Sebastian

Battle 6: Sebastian

We’re not out of luck though. There’s 2 turns until Sebastian’s attack. He may have a fairly high ATK, but we have enough HP to take one hit. Let’s take the hit from Sebastian and spend 4 turns to defeat him. On turn 4, Sanji will have recovered from the debuff, which means we’re ensured the win here.

Got lucky with our slots and won on turn 3!

Battle 7: Nightin

Up next on Battle 7 is Nightin of the World Pirates.

Battle 7: Nightin

Battle 7: Nightin

Nightin, on her turn, will Remove SFX if her HP is below half. Gairam, who’s waiting for us at the end, has a Timing Barrier of 2 PERFECTs that make the Remove SFX even more problematic. Only 2 turns until Nightin attacks.
We’ve got to defeat her in 2 turns.

To make sure we can defeat her, we used Rakuyo’s Special, Compliant Iron Ball, to change his slot to [INT]. Now we can deal some serious damage to PSY-type Nightin!

Defeated her in 2 turns!

Rare-Encounter: Hancock

There’s a chance that torn up Hancock may appear on Battle 7 instead of Nightin.
Same as Battle 1, she’s not an enemy that needs to be eliminated. She’ll match up our slots and lock them. On top of that, chain multiplier got locked at 2.5x, and she also dropped off a Wanted Poster!

Got a big advantage!

Final Boss: Gairam

We’ve defeated Nightin. Gairam is waiting for us at the final battle.

Final Boss: Gairam

Final Boss: Gairam

As mentioned before, Gairam has a Timing Barrier of 2 PERFECTs. We need to deal as much damage while paying attention to Tap Timing.

A single mistake can be fatal

A single mistake can be fatal

If Gairam’s HP is below 70% at his turn, he’ll change our slots (possibly to [BLOCK] slots). Luck wasn’t on our side, 4 of our characters landed on a [BLOCK] slot. We’re at a big disadvantage.
Gairam, when his HP is below 50%, is going to use a Special that boosts his DEF and deal heavy damage.

4 [BLOCK] slots!

4 [BLOCK] slots!

For now, we use Kumadori’s Special Life Return: Shishi Finger Pistol – Dark Strike to change our slots (including [BLOCK] slots) to Type-slots! Connect that with Impostor Straw Hat Pirates’ Special, Pirate Posers! We changed each of the slots now. And a lot of our slots are matching, thanks to being careful of the crew order beforehand.

Kaku on the mid-left has a [QCK] slot that puts him at a disadvantage. That’s where we use his Special, Fierce Smash, to change that [QCK] slot to a [STR] slot! At this point, most slots are matching. Next up, Jabra’s Special Lethal Follow-Up – Dark Strike boosts the effects for Free Spirit characters’ slots. Now we’re ready to strike!

Slot changed and ready to go!

Messed up on the Tap Timing, and Gairam is still alive!
Gairam used his Special to deal heavy damage and boost his own DEF.
We’re in a tight situation, but we landed PERFECTs for our attacks to counter his boosted DEF! We managed to take him down on turn 3!

So what other crews can lead you to victory in this battle?

In this quest, Hancock boosted ATK for characters with a cost of 30 or less.
That means, the whole crew will receive Hancock’s buff as long as every crewmember has a cost of 30 or less.

Speaking of characters with a cost of 30, there are strong characters that you can get from Rare Recruit, Coliseum, and Underground (excluding Chaos). If possible, having Kyros Ex-Riku Royal Army Commander as Captain or Friend Captain would be great. Kyros’ Captain Ability boosts ATK by 2.5x for characters that have a cost of 30 or less, a must for a crew that has a cost 30 theme.

STR-type characters that can change [BLOCK] slots, like Monkey D. Luffy Davy Back Fight: Combat and Lao G. Donquixote Pirates, will serve as a counter against Gairam along with being a great plus for clearing this quest. Characters that deal INT-type damage to counter Nightin, such as Commander Scarlet Golden Lion Pirates and Vergo Donquixote Pirates, will ensure you a 2 turn win against her.
